    Lily will be hosting clubs all February long about Emotion Regulation, it's a psychological practice that will change your life. It involves understanding and, to a certain degree, controlling your emotions to your advantage. Understanding them comes first, and in this club, we'll dive deep into your coping mechanisms.

     

    Lily, a practising psychotherapist, has a wealth of experience with emotion regulation and she'll be your guide in this club.

     

    How do you manage your emotions when faced with stress, adversity or rejection? What strategies do you use to maintain emotional balance in your daily life? What strategies do other people use? There are coping mechanisms which our mind creates for us to deal with the hard parts of life. We all have different ones. Some are healthy and some aren't.

     

    Let's focus on various coping mechanisms, both adaptive and maladaptive, that people use to manage their emotions. From mindfulness and cognitive restructuring to avoidance and suppression, we'll explore the benefits and drawbacks of different strategies. Let's share insights and experiences and let's deepen our understanding of the journey towards achieving emotional resilience. Let's also get a better understanding of how people around us manage their emotions. Let's enhance your psychological understanding, level up your emotional toolkit and have a meaningful conversation on the psychology of coping with life’s challenges.
